DevSecOps Engineer – Surrey – £70,000

As the DevSecOps Engineer you will report to the Information Security Officer and have responsibilities for

Ensuring high security standard are maintained throughout the transition to cloud technologies.


As a senior role within the Information Security team, you will be expected to lead the security implementations as

well as deal with BAU review requirements.


This is an opportunity for someone to manage the AWS Security Estate.

Cloud formation scripting experience is required.


Responsibilities: –


  • Work with the core engineering team for the design and development of security solutions using the

approved automation and CI/CD tooling

  • Recognise areas for security improvements within the cloud platform around automation and CI/CD, access

controls, network, automated compliance, alerting and forensic

  • Be the subject matter expert for all security configurations within AWS / O365 / other cloud products.
  • Working closely with the IT teams to ensure systems are designed and implemented within agreed security


  • Promote personal growth including experimentation with new bleeding-edge technologies.
  • Manage Vulnerability Management process – utilising WhiteHat Tenable and AWS Inspector.
  • Ensure obtain and then maintain Verizon Cyber Risk certification.
  • Manage Penetration Testing process, working closely with 3rd Party Pen test companies.
  • Review security requirements for new IT solutions
  • Identifying and addressing emerging information security threats.
  • Perform security review of new solutions and vendors.


Requirements: –


  • Strong knowledge of AWS Security best practices.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Intimate knowledge of security best practices.
  • Experience scripting with python and bash.
  • Security related qualifications
