My client is the UK’s leading alternative provider of wholesale full fibre network infrastructure. With major fibre infrastructure projects across 51 towns and cities throughout the UK, we provide a portfolio of active and dark fibre services to our customers which include service integrators, enterprise and consumer service providers, local authorities and mobile operators.

 

Job Role

Lead the execution of commercial & Community engagement locally. Develop strong local relationships to identify and progress local commercial opportunities in key vertical sectors including with local council, housing associations and property developers. Represent and speak for my client at local networking and community events.

Looking for a team player who enjoys broad rather than a narrow role, is adept at networking and public speaking has a passion for technology, has strong local knowledge and network, who can develop strong internal and external relationships, is able to prioritise effectively, has an intuitive sense for what is important and can see the bigger picture but is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.

Measures of Success

Reputation and awareness locally of my client is very positive; Operational/build issues well managed with limited escalation
High in city FTTH consumer penetration and rapid take up by business providers
Significant additional pipeline of opportunities identified for local “densification” of CF network (penetration of network in all verticals, TCV of contracts, success with local housing association and new build developers, major wayleave relief for council properties etc.)
Feedback from Internal & External stakeholders is very high – qualitative and/or quantitative
City held up as a “model city” for my client across the UK and local initiatives replicated in other cities
Very high levels of customer satisfaction in all market verticals, particularly Consumer.

 

Skills (helpful but not essential)

 

  • Experienced in B2b/Account Management
  • Working Knowledge and experience of local government/council
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to present confidently to groups
  • Hands on attitude

 

Strong team player able to lead a virtual team
Gravitas, able to build long term professional relationships internally & externally
Good presentation writing and public speaking skills; experience with local media
Self-starter and able to work under pressure.
